Introduction to Airport Emergency Planning
The Introduction to Airport Emergency Planning is an entry level course expected to provide the learners with essential awareness and knowledge about the importance of airport emergency planning and response. The 5 day course is a well-balanced mix of theoretical and practical training and aims to impart learners with a wide-ranging knowledge about emergency planning and response, accident prevention strategies, evacuation plan and exercises, airport rescue and firefighting, accident investigation, attending to victims and families and management of media.
The teaching method blends and couples classroom lectures with interactive multimedia lessons, group activities, onsite projects in the airport under the close guidance and supervision of industry experts. Such a learning combination would ensure that participants are well prepared for their future employment and career advancement in airport and aviation-related fields.
