Introduction to Aviation Environment Management
The Introduction to Airport Environmental Management is an entry level course expected to provide the learners with essential awareness and an overview about the main issues relating to aviation environmental impacts. The 5 day course is a well-balanced mix of theoretical and practical training and aims to impart learners with a wide-ranging knowledge about aviation environmental impacts such as air pollution, emissions, aircraft noise, waste generation and recycling and carbon footprint. The course also discusses on topic such as air transport and its sustainable development and ICAO regulations related to environment and also the Estidama/Pearl Community Rating System of Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council. The teaching method blends and couples classroom lectures with interactive multimedia lessons, group activities, projects under the close guidance and supervision by industry experts.
This learning combination would ensure that graduates are well prepared for their future employment and career advancement in airport and aviation-related fields.
