Introduction to Disaster Victim Identification
Course Aims:
To provide an overview of the complex international arrangements for the location and recovery of human remains in a mass fatality incident, and the systematic and evidence-based identification procedures to correctly identify the individuals involved, and their subsequent repatriation to their countries of origin.

Who Should Attend?:
The course will benefit anyone who has a responsibility for any part of the disaster victim identification process, or who is likely to become involved in the response to a mass fatality incident. This will include law enforcement personnel and those from the military, civil defense, fire and rescue, government agencies and others carrying out a supporting role at the scene, mortuary or elsewhere.
