Nondestructive testing (NDT)is a group of non-invasive analysis techniques to verify and examine the quality of an object, material or system without impairing its future usefulness. Our NDT auditor’s course shall equip auditors working in MRO’s to perform satisfactory audits of an NDT facility. Nondestructive testing – NDT – use test methods to examine an object, material or system without impairing its future usefulness. Non-destructive testing is often required to verify the quality of a product or a system.

Course Overview:
The NDT auditor course is primarily divided into three parts:
- Brief summary of all NDT Methods (PT, MT, ET, RT, UT) and relevant international standards used.
- Overview to various certifications schemes within the aerospace industry. eg PCN, ASNT, EN4179/NAS 410,
- Auditing a Non Destructive Testing Method & Use of check sheets. (Practical exercises in compliance with existing company processes)

Instruction on process, procedures, applications advantages and limitations on the following NDT techniques, including BS / ASTM Standards
- Visual/Optical Inspection (VT/OT)
- Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Radiation Safety
Specialised NDT methods as required
- Acoustic Emissions Testing (AE)
- Infrared/Thermal Testing (IRT)
- Remote Field Testing (RFT)
Basic Auditing Process and Procedures
- NDT Audit Case history.
- NAS410 Auditors Check sheet Explanation.
(If applicable and resources in place, practice/simulated Audits can be carried out).
